Jingxing county, located in Shijiazhuang, North China's Hebei province, has aimed for the historical and cultural resources of dozens of national and provincial traditional ancient villages to boost local tourism in recent years - including Lvjia village, Daliangjiang village, Yujia Shitou village and Nanhengkou village.
By improving the public service facilities, those villages have transformed some houses into homestay hotels, restaurants, cafes and book bars while still maintaining their original appearance. It injects new vitality into the old houses, and turns these once lonely traditional ancient villages into popular tourism destinations.
